Wonder what a day at YouthWrite summer camp looks like?
Wonder no longer!
First Day Orientation!
A chance for YouthWriters to get situated and comfortable, and break the ice with their fellow campers/friends. After orientation and some games, we decorate posters for our pods and dorms.
Making new friends is an important part of camp!
Start the day off right!
Each day at YouthWrite begins with breakfast, and then warm up, followed by amazing classes taught by professional artists, on a variety of topics and artistic mediums, all centred around our writing and storytelling skills:
YouthWriters share all meals together, further building our sense of community and camaraderie:

Inklings (where we share things we've been working on)
The BEEG & LEETLE Shows (improv shows created for YouthWriters each day)!
Sacred Writing Time
Outdoor Fun
T- Shirt Signing
Singing, dancing, general merriment
Other evening activities
Guest Presenters
(Guest presenter pics coming soon)
Campfire sing-alongs (with marshmallows)
Bedtime story/ river walks:
We end each day at YouthWrite's overnight camps with bedtime story, usually out in nature if the weather will permit.
